Mark’s gospel is all about Jesus. He doesn’t spend much time on lofty philosophy or religious moralizing. He takes us straight to Jesus. As people meet Jesus in Mark’s gospel they are called to respond. Some respond in anger, some in sadness, and some in worship. As the gospel of Mark gives us Jesus we too will be called to respond, not to who we want him to be but to who he truly is.
