Update - May 5th

Refuge,

On behalf of the elders, I wanted to give you a quick update on some decisions and potential decisions for “reopening” the corporate gathering. Throughout the month of May, we are going to hold to our status quo and continue to utilize the streaming of our services to avoid cross contamination and give us more time to evaluate the statistics throughout the region as businesses begin to reopen. We are hoping and desiring to see a decline in infections as well as an increase in available and reliable testing to help us take the next steps.

Toward the end of the month of May, we will look to communicate and implement some potential steps toward limited corporate gatherings and other creative ways that we can gather together for worship as a body. We will give more details on those as the time approaches and we are able to evaluate those options with a bit more clarity.

Until then, we will continue with online streaming of Sunday services, daily weekday morning prayer at 7:45 on Zoom, as well as Gospel Communities Zoom gatherings throughout the week. We will also post soon some other ways to keep plugged in, continue serving and opportunities to help with various projects.

In addition, we will be sending out a survey soon to help us gain additional feedback and input on how we can proceed toward hopefully gathering again in person in the coming weeks and months, while continuing to provide streaming online services for those at home.

Thank you for continuing to love and serve and support and “be” this local expression of God’s people known as Refuge. We are grateful and humbled to serve and lead and walk beside this local body of believers!
